Get set to be schooled in the best way possible at this intimate masterclass with Daana’s chef Sanjay, awarded ACT Chef of the Year 2020 by the Restaurant & Catering Association of Australia.

At this special one-off event for Good Food Month, Sanjay will teach his students about the qualities of spices and how to extract their optimal flavour, whilst guiding them through the preparation of some of Daana’s signature dishes.

India is one of the great world cuisines, with diverse ethnic subcultures and an endless repertoire of excitingly delicious curries and dishes.

In the Masterclass with Chef Sanjay – ACT Chef of the Year 2020*, you’ll learn all about spices – their fundamental qualities and how to extract their optimal flavour. Chef Sanjay will then guide you through the preparation of Daana’s Signature Dishes, and some accompaniments to round out your meal.

With event size limited to 12 (6 tables of 2 persons) you will enjoy learning and interacting with the chef and others in this intimate cooking experience.

Embark on an exploration of the Old world’s culture & culinary influences in Indian Cuisine that are now an integral part of Indian cuisine at this one-off Friends of Good Food Month event.

India is recognised as one of the great world cuisines and its globalisation is testimony to its popularity. Interestingly, several centuries of cross-cultural influences from Mughals, Persians, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Chinese and British have all contributed to shaping Indian cuisine uniquely.

Curry Connections is a culinary exploration of the many cultures and their culinary influences that are now an integral part of Indian cuisine.

Enjoy a six-course chef’s share menu while award-winning chef duo, Sunita and Sanjay, share anecdotes and regale guests with fascinating insights into India’s food history; a history that is made of cross-cultural influences from Mughal, Persian, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Chinese and British cuisines.
